Notes: 'The Reconstruction Is Greater Than The Creation' was MH's debut as a writer, a book that in its openly hostile tone against its time and culture caused quite a ripple at its release. The attention surrounding the book focused very much on MH being "the spokesman of a new generation" and his ability to work with the Danish language in unprecedented ways. The style of the writing was abrupt, more statement-like than poetic, and defined its own level of application in its introduction: "This has nothing nothing to do with art - this is symptom, not intellectual vanity."

The book was graphically illustrated by the author, mainly collage works with violent and unpleasant motives circling around human submission in all forms. Being released simultaneously with MH's first record in his own name, 'Ritual', his artistic many-sidedness emphasized his status as one of the 80-generation's most important cultural characters.
