| Recorded and mixed at Mind And Media, summer 1998. Remix and post-production, summer 1999. |
| Notes: | Together with the Greek/Swedish/Danish singer Katja Andersson MH formed the duo Saccharin whose debut album 'Playlist' was released in January 2000.
Katja Andersson was taught opera in Athens from 1977 to 1985 by Maria Constantinou (Maria Callas' classmate at the academy of music), but the music has nevertheless nothing to do with opera; it is a peculiar hybrid of techno and pop with the distinct touch of MH. The latter wrote and produced the album that contained twelve tracks including the minor radio hit "Tambourines And Love Songs".
The CD was released on MH's own label Mind And Media which previously has released records with Irma Victoria and Aud Wilken (Read only Memory). The releases of Mind And Media have always been characterized by the use of unconventional singers, a feature that the Saccharin album reinforced.
One of the more obscure aspects of the record is a two-minute a cappella version of "Salt Of Your Skin" (a track that Danish platinum-artist Hanne Boel had a European hit with in 1998) recorded on a dictaphone in a bathroom. |
