| Notes: | 'Presence' was MH's comeback album after a two and a half year long retreat from the music industry, a crystalline pop album co-produced with now deceased Flemming Nygaard (former member of the later Under For and musician on the 'Cutting Through' album). It was received with a massive media hype and featured amoing other tracks the 'Beat Of The Drum' hit single, a track that turned out to be the second most played number of the year on the leading Danish radio station The Voice (only beaten by John Farnham's 'The Voice').
The ironically entitled campaign "The Final Comeback" introduced MH to a much larger audience than he had ever had and made him figure at the top five in most categories of the reader's poll by the leading Danish musicpaper at that time, MM. The album was released in Scandinavia during the autumn where it received excellent reviews.
When Flemming Nygaard died in the late summer of 1989, MH dedicated his 'Requiem' (performed at Taksigelseskirken later that year) to him. |
