| Notes: | 'The Rainbow Theatre' was the debut album for Danish "diva" Irma Victoria, a singer that at the time of its release was 67 years old. Having sung cabaret songs in an early age, a career in the Danish military ended this outlet. She then re-appeared many decades later on the MH production 'The Hall Of Mirrors', making her contribution, the 'Memorial' song, an unforgettable experience. Encouraged by this success she took part in the recording of the 7" EP 'Palladium' which let to the release of the debut album only a couple of months later.
During the first months of 1991 Irma Victoria astounded the Danish press and music industry by being nominated to a grammy in the category "Best Female Singer", thereby duelling with high-ranking names on the local scene such as Hanne Boel (multi-platinum artist) and Annisette (from legendary Danish act Savage Rose). However, she did not win. |
