| Recorded and mixed at Custom Sound, summer 1984. |
| Notes: | 'Free-Force Structure' was the first recording made by MH entirely using machines as the rhythmic structure. The single presented a new, lighter sound and became a very popular radio item around the time of its release. Later the track turned into a classic dance track in various European goth clubs and has been included on several international compilations.
The B-side 'An Ending' represented an absolute opposite to the title track, this index being a live recording from Under For's 1983 concert at The ISCM World Music Days at Aarhus Musikhus: a piece of sheer, industrial terror. In that sense, both poles of Hall's musical work at the time were equally represented on the 12".
The record received positive coverage in New Musical Express. The record was followed up by MH's second book 'The Identity Of Alienation' (November 1984) which continued the uncompromising line of his lyrical debut from 1983, 'The Recreation Is Greater Than The Creation Itself'. |
