Notes:
With the release of the double-album 'Cutting Through - The Final Recordings' in February 1986 (one record being grandiose pop music, the other being a kind of Tibetan ambient music) MH publicly declared his plans to end his musical and artistic career. His decision was surrounded by a massive media coverage, this being a 22 year old "musical wonderchild" as the press had entitled him that "said goodbye".

Although MH in time did return to the music scene, the album and the two following concerts in Stakladen (Aarhus) and Saga (Copenhagen) nevertheless drew a clear line between what had been and what was still to come. After the last of the two concerts (Saga, April 4), MH dedicated the following two and a half years of his life to a metaphysical quest - a search that utilmately should enable him to return as a stronger and more mature person, when he made his comeback in September 1988 with the high-profile album 'Presence' (read on under this title).

'Cutting Through' was - like its predecessor 'Relief' and the later 'Random Hold' - released in Germany.
